Crazy, but not insane.

So a brief introduction. I like Jesus, I don't like traditional religion. I like religion described in the Bible, and that religion is not about building temples. This is about loving your neighbor as yourself.

I don't want to sound arrogant, I am also a regular person full of faults and mistakes. I am probably more messed up than you think.

I agree with Tony Champolo when he stated on a tv interview.
"When we go to heaven, God is not gonna ask us theological questions ; virgin birth, agree, disagree?"
He explains later.
"This is it, 25th chapter of matthew, when I was hungry, did you feed me? When I was naked, did you clothe me?"

I do agree that there are bad and harmful beliefs, but most people who beleive them are as impotent as their beliefs, so they do not pose a threat at all.

What matters more is how you walk...
I am not perfect, and I am simply a sinner who was given a gift of forgiveness... Something that is also available to you. Just thank God and start your new life... That is all it really boils down to.

If I am wrong, then God will have to judge me on it.
I accept people's opinions and study their claims, I however do not accept a whole belief system such as a sect.
Prove it and I'll take it.
Just give me time to adjust and pray about it first, don't make me swallow it same day.

So... Crazy but not insane?

Crazy can be used for someone who does something unusual, however it does not necessarily mean the person did something that is actually unreasonable.

Insane... This is what I mean.
If Jesus wants us to love our neighbors, he doesn't want us to kill them.
So. Claiming to be a Christian Country and at the same time BLOWING UP your enemies... That is insane.
Jesus said that it is hard for a rich person to enter God's kingdom... Yet we try to spend all our effort trying to get rich, or to stop being poor... (which is rich in the eyes of the poor).
That is insane.

Praying days and days to get an expensive house and car, yet we are so stingy that we cannot even give a homeless person some lunch...

I highly suggest reading the book by Shane Claiborne, titled : IRRESISTIBLE REVOLUTION.

  1. In addition to that, we have to realize that even though it is in the Old Testament that we should support our religious teachers (organizational churches) It does not mean that we should ignore the homeless people outside the "church" building.
Ask yourself what is more important to God?
Donating hundreds of pesos/dollars to a church building? Or feeding a hungry homeless person?
Realize that whatsoever we do to the LEAST OF THESE, we have done it to Jesus...
